Dr Michelle originally trained and worked as a Doctor in England before moving to Australia in 2010 and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She has enjoyed various roles at Redcliffe Hospital, Townsville Hospital and remotely in Central Queensland where she worked for 3 years as the solo town Doctor for a rural community.
Dr Michelle believes in the traditional ‘Family Doctor’ and enjoys getting to know her patients and dealing with all their unique health concerns – from minor illness, to lifestyle advice (eg: quitting smoking or losing weight), to detecting and treating serious conditions. She really strives to understand each individual, ensuring they receive the best care possible and taking the time to explain things thoroughly to her patients.
She enjoys dealing with all aspects of General Practice and has a particular interest in:
- Women’s Health (including shared antenatal care and implanon)
- Child Health
- Mental Health
